¿Dónde está Elisa? was the title of the famous Spanish-language telenovela produced by the United States-based television network Telemundo. This mystery is a remake of Chilean telenovela ¿Dónde Está Elisa? produced by TVN in 2009.This telenovela was sold to 90 countries around the world. this telenovelas was based on The novel "The Girls with the Dragon Tattoo"
It tells the story of The lives of the Altamira family are changed forever. Their lives are engulfed by the events in the disappearance of Elisa (Vanessa Pose), the oldest daughter of Mariano Altamira (Gabriel Porras) and Dana Riggs Altamira (Sonya Smith), a white woman of part-Hispanic and part-non-Hispanic ancestry.
Despite the continual efforts to find Elisa, a more prominent theme is the disintegration of the Altamira clan. In the initial episode they look like one big happy clan, but there are many problems beneath that surface which come to light. A major theme of the story is the consequences of hypocrisy.
